Backvac is seeking a Creative Assistant to support our marketing and content production efforts. As a 1099 contractor, you will collaborate closely with the CEO and Marketing Assistant to produce engaging video content, social media assets, and in-house creative materials. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-focused, and passionate about crafting visually compelling stories that align with our brand identity.
Film, edit, and produce short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid ads.
Create in-house content showcasing Backvac products, features, and travel use cases.
Assist with creative brainstorming, storyboarding, and concept development.
Capture and edit product footage, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes material.
Collaborate with the CEO and Marketing Assistant to execute content calendars and campaign needs.
Ensure all visuals and edits maintain Backvac’s sleek, modern, high-quality brand aesthetic.
Organize and manage video files, project assets, and content libraries.
Stay updated on short-form trends, editing styles, transitions, and platform-specific features.
Proven experience in video editing and short-form content creation.
Proficiency in editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar).
Strong understanding of trending video formats, pacing, hooks, and storytelling for social media.
Ability to produce high-quality content quickly and reliably.
Strong creative instincts with attention to lighting, composition, and visual structure.
Comfortable filming product demos, lifestyle shots, and social content.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Bonus: Experience with photography, motion graphics, or graphic design.
Portfolio showcasing short-form videos, ads, or branded content.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to take direction while also contributing creative ideas.
Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals is a plus.
Experience in e-commerce, travel content, or consumer products is preferred but not required.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Contractors must manage their own taxes, equipment, workspace, and software.
Workload varies based on campaign cycles, product launches, and weekly content needs.
Compensation will be hourly or project-based, depending on experience and scope.
